Ingredients
 
 

  • 2 slices wholemeal bread or granary
  • 50 g grated cheese low-fat
  • 2 tsp spread low-fat
  • 1 tsp French mustard

Instructions
 

  • Preheat the grill. Toast the bread on one side.

  • Toast the other side until it crisps but has not turned brown.

  • Mix the grated cheese, low-fat spread and mustard together and spread over the toast.

  • Grill for about 2 minutes until bubbling and starting to brown.

Notes

For variations, try toasted cheese with tomato by adding 2 tsp of tomato puree to the cheese mixture. Alternatively, for a pickle twist, add 2 tsp of your favorite pickle.
