
Toasted Cheese
A quick and delicious toasted cheese recipe with variations for tomato or pickle fillings.

Ingredients
- 2 slices wholemeal bread or granary
- 50 g grated cheese low-fat
- 2 tsp spread low-fat
- 1 tsp French mustard
Instructions
- Preheat the grill. Toast the bread on one side.2 slices wholemeal bread
- Toast the other side until it crisps but has not turned brown.2 slices wholemeal bread
- Mix the grated cheese, low-fat spread and mustard together and spread over the toast.2 slices wholemeal bread
- Grill for about 2 minutes until bubbling and starting to brown.2 slices wholemeal bread
Notes
For variations, try toasted cheese with tomato by adding 2 tsp of tomato puree to the cheese mixture. Alternatively, for a pickle twist, add 2 tsp of your favorite pickle.
