
Simple Oat Bread
A wholesome and nutritious oat bread, perfect with fresh fruit or for a healthy snack.
Equipment
- Mixing bowl
- Wooden spoon
- Loaf tin
- Whisk
- Oven
Ingredients
- 500 ml natural yoghurt
- 1 egg beaten
- 350 g porridge oats
- 2 tsp bread soda sodium bicarbonate
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C / 350°F / Gas Mark 4.
- Place the yoghurt and egg in a bowl and mix well.500 ml natural yoghurt, 1 egg
- Add the oats and bread soda to the yoghurt mixture and stir well.500 ml natural yoghurt, 2 tsp bread soda, 350 g porridge oats
- Place the mixture (it should be wet, but not a liquid) in a greased or parchment-lined loaf tin and bake for 60 minutes.
Notes
Add dried fruit like raisins, cranberries, or chopped apricots for a sweeter tasting bread.
