
Mushroom Soup
Rich and creamy mushroom soup. A comforting meal for the family.
Equipment
- Saucepan
- Wooden spoon
- Chopping board
- Chopping knife
- Measuring cup
- Stove
Ingredients
- 1 tsp vegetable oil
- 10 mushrooms chopped
- 1 onion finely chopped
- 575 ml water bring to boil
- 1 stock cube low-salt, dissolved in 575 ml of boiling water
- 425 ml milk low-fat
- pinch of salt optional
- pepper
Instructions
- Heat the oil in a saucepan. Add the mushrooms and onion and fry, stirring continually for 5 minutes.
- Gradually stir in the stock and milk and bring to the boil. Keep stirring.
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- Add salt (if using) and pepper to taste.
Notes
Try adding corn to the soup for extra texture and taste.
