
Coronation Chicken
A flavorful chicken dish with curry and yogurt, perfect with rice or baby potatoes.
Equipment
- Chopping board
- Chopping knife
- Measuring cup
- Frying pan
- Wooden spoon
- Stove
Ingredients
- 10 ml vegetable oil
- 1 onion small, peeled and finely chopped
- 4 chicken fillets around 520 g
- 150 ml water
- 1 tbsp curry powder
- 1 heaped tsp tomato puree
- black pepper to taste
- 1 x 125 g pot natural yogurt low-fat
Instructions
- Gently heat the oil in a frying pan.10 ml vegetable oil
- Add the onion and cook on a low heat until soft.1 onion
- Place the chicken on the pan and cook until it is golden.4 chicken fillets
- Add a little water and cover the pan to stop the chicken from becoming too tough.
- After a couple of minutes, add the curry powder and the tomato puree.1 tbsp curry powder, 1 heaped tsp tomato puree
- Coat the chicken with the mix, and then add the remaining water and pepper.4 chicken fillets
- Simmer for 20 minutes.
- When the sauce is cooked, remove the pan from the heat.
- Stir in the yogurt.1 x 125 g pot natural yogurt
Notes
Serve with rice or baby potatoes. For added flavor, garnish with fresh coriander.
